This would explain why it's happening to me at 1080p at 90 degrees FOV in the Vault where every pod is giving off its own lighting source. Thus, it tends to strike people playing at higher resolutions at wider fields of view in areas with lots of lighting, as this naturally causes more lights to need to be rendered. This bug has been extensively reported on reddit and appears to be due to engine limitations on the number of lights rendered at once.
